Bio

This blog is mainly run by me, Pamela McCormack, Amelie's mother. I get a little help from my big sister Julieanne Lynch, she knows about all this stuff seeing as she is an author so knows how to self promote ;) Anyway............ We live in Cootehill, County Cavan in Ireland. Stephen hails from London originally but his parents come from here hence our link to Cootehill. I hail from all the four corners of the globe, well not literally! I am from Fermanagh in Northern Ireland but spent time in London on and off over my life. Stephen and I got married when I was 21 and Stephen 28 after a whirlwind romance (well it was in my head). Scarlett came along 16 months later, then Grace arrived 18 months after that. I have Psoriatic arthritis so I am on some heavy meds so I  was told to take a break from the baby making. Then in 2008 we decided it was time for another baby but sadly our little boy Liam was stillborn at 34 weeks in 2009. We decided that we would go for another baby again but found out at 8 weeks that I had contracted antibodies and our baby could possibly be anemic. At 18 weeks we found out that she was indeed anemic and would need to have intrauterine transfusions, she actually had to have 3 of these procedures and an early birth at 35 weeks. She had sticky lungs and her stats were all over the place, but eventually she got there. So for 8 months we lived quite happily, we had a halloween trip to Disneyland Paris, our first trip away for 5 years and it was amazing.... things began to go south after that. If you see my first post it explains the rest xxxxx
So here we are now just trying to raise awareness for this syndrome that is robbing our girls of their lives and just living in hope of a cure. If you wish to donate please go to www.idonate.ie/curekiki thanks
